About V-FEC

This community of chess firstly began by two members of FICS, ngo and CarlosKerber.

When they decided to call it "The Veins" they might not guess that some day it will be a place to practice life and chess by many cool guys across the globe. Later the name altered to V-FEC, which stands for Veins - Friendship, Entertainment,and Chess.

More than to be a simple gathering, the fashion of Veins is based upon friendship.

Friends talk and discuss a wide range of issues including WWIII to The Doors' songs and even chess! And when they sit face to face to begin a fight, they really want some real blood shed to happen!

Activities

The current activities in the club includes participating in the IBS Series tournaments which are V-FEC exclusive tourneys with lots of options and a wide range of chances for players to experience the battle with lower or higher ranks in a friendly space which in the normal circumstances is somehow rare.

V-FEC also offers weekly training sessions presented by Brian (schroedinger).

The club is a fixed competitor in all major FICS-related leagues including Team League, OCL, and STC games.

Achievements

For the first time, SauVeins-Draco of V-FEC won the OCL 2008 summer tournament.

TamVeins of V-FEC won the first place in OCL U1900 section in 2008 summer tournament.
